A man apparently went for a swim at Santa Pola’s  Playa Lisa on Tuesday, not to be seen again. Fellow swimmers called in the authorities after the bather’s disappearance with the Guardia Civil and local Fire Brigade leading the operation, which also included a helicopter flying over the area on Wednesday in addition to a motor launch circling the Lisa and Tamarit beaches on Tuesday. No sightings were made and authorities now believe it was a genuine false alarm especially since nobody has been reported missing.
