In a combined operation between the Guardia Civil and local police of San Pedro del Pinatar, six people have been charged with crimes against intellectual property and 3,168 fake items of clothing seized from market traders in the town.

The arrests occurred following an inspection at the local market on Monday of this week, where the officers were accompanied by trademark experts as they examined products on sale.

The value of the goods seized is in the region of 131,000 euro and resulted in the six arrestees, five men and a woman of Moroccan nationality, being delivered to the courts in San Javier, along with the items.
