Nine refugees were intercepted by the Guardia Civil in a boat off the coast of Cabo Roig last Thursday lunchtime (July 31st as first reported in last week’s Courier).

The Guardia intercepted the vessels some eight miles from land, and the nine Algerians, five of whom were children, were said to be in good health after being checked over by Red Cross officials at the Guardia’s barracks in Torrevieja.
