A forest fire just three hundred metres away from a La Marina beach was brought under control by firefighters last Sunday.

A helicopter and two planes were brought in to control the blaze which was threatening Rebollo beach and a campsite.

Around three thousand square metres of woodland was destroyed in the blaze which experts say was almost certainly started by one or more individuals showing little consideration for the danger of fire.
