The skies above Los Alcazares will be a sight to behold this weekend with the centenary celebrations of the founding of Spain’s first ever hydroplane airbase back in 1915.

Three Spanish equivalents of the RAF’s Red Arrows will be performing special displays during the Fiesta del Cielo (Sky Festival) this weekend.

There’ll be a sunset display on the Saturday evening starting at 7.00pm, followed by the main attraction flying across the Los Alcazares beaches starting on the Sunday morning from 11.00am and running through till 2.30pm.

Temporary car parks will be in operation across what will be a very busy area.
