Over a million passengers have enjoyed tranquillity on Spain’s high speed AVE rail services since ”silent coaches” were introduced last year.

Over one point one million passengers have taken advantage of the facilities with talking and mobile phones banned, plus the bonus of no tannoy announcements; no children under 14; no pets; and dimmed lighting if you fancy a snooze.

Ticket prices are the same as for the other carriages.
