Erosion problems should be dramatically eased at Torre de la Horadada after the building of a new 370 metre breakwater to protect the Paseo Marítimo del Sardinero.

The work from the Provincial Directorate of Coasts follows on storm damage over the winter, as well as complaints over a period of time from the local neighbourhood group that the battering of the sea waves has left the walkway vulnerable to collapse.
