The Orihuela Costa will host a three-kilometre walk this Sunday (February 25th) called Perrotón to promote responsible dog ownership, with animals and their owners encouraged to take part.

The event has been jointly organised by Orihuela council’s International Residents Department led by councillor Sofía Álvarez (pictured right) and the authority’s Health department under councillor Noelia Grao.

The walk will start from Villamartin Plaza at 10.00 am with poop-scoop bags set to be handed out, as well as animal charities like Asoka publicising their activities and looking for donations.

Álvarez said: – “Animals are not a toy, and you have to take care of them.”
