Santiago de la Ribera’s carnival parade attracted over two thousand participants last weekend, with many more lining the route to watch the various floats.

The spectacular parade in the San Javier municipality, which featured fifty floats and groups, is one of the largest in the Murcia region, and brought the curtain down on the annual carnival celebrations.

Cold weather and fears of heavy rain brought some late changes to the procession route, but the enthusiasm from spectators and participants alike was not dampened.
