Thirty-seven groups took part in Torrevieja’s Carnival parade that wended its way through the city’s streets last Sunday afternoon.

Most of those involved were from the Torrevieja area, but eight groups also got involved from the Murcia region in an event that always attracts many spectators.

The floats, displays, and performers (picture from Objetivo Torrevieja) started on Plaza María Asunción working their way down Calle Ramón Gallud before a party was held on the Plaza de la Constitución, with prizes handed out to the best participants.

It all served as a very appetising teaser for this weekend’s evening parade (Saturday February 17th), beginning at 9.00 pm from the Plaza de María Asunción.
