The long-delayed work  on revamping the Floridablanca Spa at Lo Pagan should start before the summer, according to San Pedro del Pinatar mayor, Visitación Martínez.

The contract for the 810-thousand-euro project has been awarded by the Murcia regional government for the redevlopment of the iconic local structure, with Martínez saying that dismantling at the site will take place first, ahead of the building work, which is scheduled to finish before the end of the year.

Besides the Spa being a bathing facility, a resturant and museum will also be created, with other similar structures on the Mar Menor targeted for improvement and reopening by the Murcia administration.
