Armistice Day was commemorated on Saturday in the annual ceremony organised by the Torrevieja branch of the Royal British Legion at La Siesta Evangelical church.

The annual ceremony saw a parade of standards to La Siesta church (photo from Objectivo Torrevieja) led by the Torrevieja Pipes and Drums, and after the service, the laying of wreathes took place in memory of those who lost their lives in wars and in acts of terrorism. 

The event was attended by Torrevieja council’s Foreign Residents councillor Carmen Morate, whilst the ex-mayor and Alicante Provincial Council vice-president Eduardo Dolon, was present, along with two Partido Popular councillors from Torrevieja council, Rosario Martínez and Carmen Gómez.
