A horrific experience is coming to the La Flordia urbanistation on the Orihuela Costa at the end of the month, but residents can breathe easy as it’s a Halloween celebration on Tuesday October 31st.
The first-ever Orihuela Costa Halloween Parade will involve youngsters from 6.00 pm on the day with a variety of activities planned in an event that has been put together in a joint venture between Orihuela council’s youth department and local residents groups.
The idea actually came from the Las Filipinas residents association (their president Francisco Morales is pictured with youth councillor Mar Ezcurra), with the local public schools getting on board with the event.
“I want to thank the various parent-teacher associations from the schools for getting involved,” said Francisco.
“In a multicultural area like the Orihuela Costa, we wanted to do something like a children’s parade,” he added.
Mar Ezcurra said:- “We hope as many youngsters from the area will get involved on the day and encourage every family from the Orihuela Costa to take part.”
Leaflets promoting the day have been printed in English and Spanish, and distributed around the area.
