Major improvements to the CV-912 road between Almoradi and Dolores were officially inaugurated by the Valencia region’s Public Works director-general Carlos Domingo (pictured second-left) on Wednesday.

His department has funded the 365,000-euro project, which has included the creation of two new pedestrian/cycle lanes, and a new roundabout at the CV-901 junction to Daya Nueva.

The road surface has also been resurfaced, with up to 8,000 vehicles a day no longer having to put up with potholes and ruts.

Domingo said that the work was a stretch of road that featured many turnings for industrial and business units, and he believed that it would substantially reduce the risk of accidents.
