Plans for several high-rise buildings in Punta Prima, which would be at least ten storeys high, have been given the green light by Torrevieja council’s governing board.

The planning process was paused in June due to concerns over the impact to an important historical Civil War bomb shelter.

Councillor Fanny Serrano said that a survey showed that there would no problems caused to the shelter, and that the planning process for the ten-thousand-square-metre site would now be put before the full council.
