The 125th annual procession of the Virgen del Carmen took place in San Pedro del Pinatar on Sunday, with the Virgen being the patron saint of sailors and fishermen.

The figure, followed by hundreds of people, was taken to Lo Pagan, for a sea journey, ahead of arriving at the local church.

There was also a fly-past by the San Javier-based Patrulla Aguilla, the Spanish equivalent of the RAF Red Arrows.
