A waiter who worked in a bar in the Navarra town of Tafalla will face a lengthy prison sentence totalling 333 years when he appears in court on Tuesday.

The man, a 36-year-old Columbian national, is alleged to have recorded 326 women using the facilities. Of those, 137 have so far been identified, and of those, 22 are minors.

The prosecutor is asking for six-months in prison for 98 crimes against privacy, and four-years each for 22 cases of aggravated crimes against privacy, plus 176,000 euro of compensation for the victims.

From August 2014 to January 2015, the man placed several cameras “camouflaging them in a false plug” to record the clients who used the bathroom.

The defendant recorded 326 women and stored the images on the establishment’s computer.
