A 60-year-old British man has been arrested in Jacarilla on historical child sexual abuse charges dating back to the early seventies. The National Police executed a European Arrest warrant on the man who, at the age of 16, is accused of having raped his two younger step-sisters on up to 18 occasions, as well as making both of them pregnant.

The National Police say that the abuse began in 1973 when the man was 16, and he started sexually assualting his 12-year-old youngest step-sister. The rapes continued for three years, and when she became pregnant aged 15, she had an abortion and ran away to live with her grandmother.

The teenage predator then turned to sexually abusing his other step-sister two or three times a week, and she eventually had a son by him when she was aged 18.

The accused man’s father covered up his son’s misdeamnors for many years, and advised him to hide in Spain away from the clutches of the British authorities. Once he passed away, the victims reported what happened to them decades ago, and the UK police liased with their counterparts in the National Police in launching a search to find the fugitive, which they duly did in Jacarilla earlier this month.
