Over fifteen hundred San Pedro del Pinatar residents took part in a recent survey to see what they would like to see happen in a proposed plan to revamp the centre of the town. Two-thirds of those who voted, said that they wanted to see the Plazas de la Constitución and España linked up by a traffic-free area.

Ninety percent of those surveyed put over their views via the council website, with San Pedro Mayor Visitación Martínez saying that appropriate security measures had been taken to make sure that the vote accurately reflected local opinion.
