Parents of children in 326 schools across Valencia, of which 97 are in the Alicante province, will vote today on changing a Spanish institution, the creation of a continuous day in school.

The interim results will be announced on Wednesday, with every parent or guardian being given the right to vote, with 55% being the minimum required to change the system.

Working parents have often struggled to adapt to the school day, with working schedules seldom compatible with the ever changing academic timetable.
