ADAPT (the Association of English Speakers of San Pedro del Pinatar) recently handed out donations to local charities that help cancer sufferers and their families. ADAPT President Janet Pierce and charity coordinator Celia Drinkall presented 500-euro cheques to Hilario Tárraga of the local AECC cancer group and to the MABS Mar Menor, coordinator Janet Bell.

ADAPT had decided last year that cancer charities would be the beneficiaries through last year’s local charity fundraising, with AFACAR, a group that supports parents of cancer-suffering youngsters, also getting a 500-euro donation.

The next monthly meeting for ADAPT will be on Saturday March 4th at 10.30 am at the Pensionista building, next to the Castelar College, Lo Pagan. New members of all nationalities are welcome with more details on the website,
